Looking for new books to read…?
Posted by adminJan 22
I read a lot and it’s hard to find good new books or series. My favorite genre is fantasy but I’m burned out on variations of Tolkiens world, meaning elves, dwarfs, orcs etc. I’m more into medieval style fantasy, like the Arthurian legends and things of that nature. My two latest favorites were George RR Martins, Fire and Ice series, and Brent Weeks ,Way of Shadows. I’ve read everything from the following authors already.
Robert Jordan
Terry Goodkind
David Drake
Terry Brooks
Piers Anthony
CS Lewis
Anne Mccaffery
Raymond Feist
Stephen King
Ann Rice
Laurell K Hamilton
Kelly Armstrong
David Farland
Robin Hobb
Philip Pullman
Tad Williams
Elizabeth Moon
Peter Telep
Margaret Weiss
RA Salvator
Thats all I can think of. I really want something new and good to enjoy, I’m tired of rereading old series. Thanks!

Maybe give ‘Orcs’ by Stan Nicholls a read.
It portrays orcs as the ‘good guys’ which is quite refreshing. It’s set in a world which contains mainly humans, but there are dwarves, gnomes and ogres as well.
The book is about a band of elite orcs called ‘wolverines’ who go awol from their commander. The fights are really well written and are very interesting and exciting to read. It’s quite a long book but i’d reccomend it.
I read it years ago so i cant remember too much detail on the plot. But I reckon you should give it a go!
